Joseph, son of Jacob, always aimed at the Good. Therefore he was blessed by his father, but his brothers sold him to an Egyptian. In Egypt, he became the right hand of pharao. But first he was slandered by an important woman (see the picture).

Joseph, zoon van Jacob, streefde altijd naar het Goede. Daardoor had hij de zegen van zijn vader, maar werd hij door zijn broers verkocht aan een Egyptenaar. En in Egypte werd hij de rechterhand van de pharao. Maar hij werd eerst belasterd door een belangrijke vrouw (zie de prent).

Josephus, filius Jacobi, semper Bonum sequebatur. Ideo benedictio patris erat cum eo, sed fratres vendiderunt eum homini Egyptiae. In Egyptia manus dextra pharaonis factus est, sed mulier insignis eum calumniata est.
